Rachel Ashworth began her career with Casella in 2009, gaining experience in both customer service and roll-off sales before completing the company’s internal Operations Manager Trainee Program and earning her CDL. She then advanced to Operations Manager for the Southern Maine hauling division, where she spent 2.5 years leading day-to-day operations.
In 2014, with the construction of the Lewiston, Maine MRF, Rachel was appointed General Manager of the facility. She later expanded her responsibilities by also serving as General Manager of the Scarborough, Maine Industrial Recycling facility.
In 2020, Rachel began contributing to Casella’s industrial operations on a national scale and was promoted mid-year to Director of Industrial Solutions. In 2023, she became Director of MRF Operations, overseeing six of Casella’s MRF facilities, including Auburn, Boston, and Springfield, Massachusetts; Lewiston and Scarborough, Maine; and Willimantic, Connecticut.
In 2026, Rachel was appointed Area Vice President of MRF Recycling Operations, assuming responsibility for Casella’s material recovery facility operations, de-packing operations & metal yards across the company’s entire operating footprint.
