Jose Tomas Dominguez is a Mechanical Engineer and Designer dedicated to developing industrial processes that expand the applications of biopolymers and advanced manufacturing material systems, ultimately driving the world toward a circular economy. His journey began in 2017 as a part of the R&D team at Inti Tech, a pioneer in Chilean robotics, where he worked on a solar autonomous robot for panel cleaning. His passion for clean energy and a pivotal expedition to Pampa Camarones led him to recognize the environmental challenges in the energy sector. Inspired by this, he co-founded Atacama Biomaterials, leading to groundbreaking innovations, including a new cellulose biopolymer, cost-effective lamination manufacturing, and a natural fiber additive manufacturing workflow.
