Gemma Ross is a versatile, hands-on operations executive with broad experience that spans engineering, manufacturing, deployment, and customer support in robotics. She is currently VP of Operations at OSARO, a startup in San Francisco that delivers AI-driven robotics solutions for e-commerce automation.

After joining OSARO in 2019, she grew the operations team and scaled the company’s capabilities internationally. As a primary member of the leadership team, Gemma has supported the growth of the company through two rounds of funding. She currently oversees manufacturing, project management, field operations, customer success, and technical support. Her whole focus at OSARO revolves around customer delivery and the ongoing success of their customers. She oversaw the recent deployment of OSARO® Robotic Bagging Systems at Zenni Optical.

Prior to OSARO, Ross was Director of Operations at Kindred, an AI robotics company. She helped develop and launch their first product, the ‘Kindred SORT’ - one of the first robotics piece-picking solutions on the market that combined tele-operation and machine learning. She developed and expanded Kindred’s support, deployment, and tele-operations functions.

After significant experience on-site with their primary customer, GAP Inc., Ross became Kindred’s key account manager for GAP overseeing the expansion of the Kindred SORT within GAP’s Gallatin, TN, and Fresno, CA facilities.

Following the collaboration with GAP, Gemma switched gears to become Director of Engineering to manage a performance engineering team, with a focus on delivering continuous and measurable value to customers.

Ross began her career at DreamWorks Animation where she served in a variety of roles in technical operations and support.

Ross is a graduate of Dartmouth College with a degree in Computer Science.
