For over two decades, Michael Kragness has been a leading figure in the permeation testing industry.

Michael joined AMETEK MOCON in 2004 and is a Permeation Application Scientist.

Michael specializes in challenging permeation testing, including transmission rate profiling of various materials from flexible snack packaging to multi-phase materials, encapsulation materials, and high viscosity liquids such as low molecular weight polymers and bitumen (i.e. asphalt).

Michael is a leader in permeation testing of paper-based structures and has contributed to new product development of permeation test solutions.

Michael studied Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota and received a graduate certificate from University of Massachusetts Lowell with an emphasis on polymer science, characteristics and processing.
